FAQ

On this page you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions.

General

  1. The VDWS Checkpoint is your personal area to manage all your VDWS data, including Licences, insurances, VDWS Academy products, membership. Depending on your user profile, different functions are available to you after logging in.

  2. Register and receive your personal user name (keep it safe)

  3. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgotten password" function.

     

  1. During the data check, you will see if your user details have already been entered.
  2. If you already have an account, you can log in directly
  3. If you do not know your password, you can request a new one using the "Forgot your password"

Basic licences

  1. Checkpoint registration/login
  2. Access licence management
  3. Apply for a new licence
  4. Once approved, the licence will be displayed in your licence management
  5. There it can be printed and you can order your licence plastic card
    • There is a charge of 15,00€ for the plastic card.

  3. Here you can see all your active licences
  4. If your licence is not visible, please contact your VDWS school

  3. Add course
  4. Enter 10-digit academy code
  5. Redeem code
  6. The course will appear in the overview

  3. Once you have redeemed your code, the course will appear in the overview
  1. If you have completed your course and want to take the exam, you will need a password
  2. You will receive this from your school
  3. You will then have 60 minutes to take the exam
  4. You will see your result immediately after submitting it
  5. Your basic licence must now be approved by your school, which you will then see in the licence management system

SafetyTool

  1. Checkpoint registration/login
  2. Access SafetyTool
  3. Select SafetyTool/SafetyTool PLUS
  4. Complete order
  5. Pay/complete order process
  • The insurance certificate will be issued upon receipt of your payment.
  • Once you have logged in, you will find the certificate under "My VDWS Checkpoint - SafetyTool"
  • Here you can print the certificate, cancel your contract or cancel your insurance.

Watersport schools

  1. Login
  2. Licence management (https://www.vdws.de/en/my-vdws-checkpoint/licence-management)
  3. Here you can search for and edit licences
  4. Under "licences in general" you can see all licences issued by your centre.

  2. Order in ProShop (https://www.vdws.de/en/proshop)
  3. Please note that verification and approval takes at least 1 working day.
  4. Once approved, digital products will be released immediately and physical products will be sent by post.
  5. Shipping costs can be calculated individually.

  2. Select Academy Codes (https://www.vdws.de/en/my-vdws-checkpoint/vdws-academy-codes)
  3. Here you will see all your previously ordered, redeemed and still available codes.
  4. If required, you can export the current list of available codes as an xls/csv file and transfer it to your individual system.

All Academy codes whose users have opted for a theory test / licence are managed here.

  2. Click on Create VDWS Academy licence (https://www.vdws.de/en/my-vdws-checkpoint/licence-creation-academy)
  3. Select licence/participant
  4. Create licence
  1. Login with your VS/VC number - ideally use the VC number
  2. Under jobs (https://www.vdws.de/en/my-vdws-checkpoint/jobs)
  3. Create new job
  4. Under employee name, enter first or last name and confirm selection with next drop down box
  5. Enter and confirm further information such as employed as, status and start of employment

  3. Add general information, opening hours, company description, logos and photos
  4.  Your profile can then be viewed publicly here: https://www.vdws.de/en/watersport-center

Once you have logged in, you will find the ProShop price list, member price lists from our partners, sample employment contracts, internship booklet, watersports assistant documents and much more.
